• Diesel Mechanics Training
  Our twelve (12) week Diesel Mechanics Course provides students with an intensive combination of hands-on and classroom experience to prepare them for employment as skilled Diesel Mechanics. Students will learn through a variety of classroom and shop exercises, working on both full vehicles and working vehicle components within the shop. The course provides students with a bumper to bumper understanding of the working mechanics of diesel trucks. Detailed lessons are included on basic electrical systems, air brake and foundation brake systems, steering, suspension, transmissions, clutches, and drive lines. A portion of the course will include preventive maintenance understanding and best practices while the majority of the course is devoted to in-depth instruction on diesel engines; including engine tune-up and basic electronic engine systems. Students will receive overviews on a variety of diesel systems as well as focusing on the more commonly used modern systems. An overview of basic math skills, workplace communication, and employability skills are included in the lessons. Classroom time is balanced by instructor demonstrations and a large amount of hands-on shop experience. Our goal is to prepare students for employment as fleet mechanics, in-house company mechanics, and mechanics to the transportation industry.

  This program is designed for the individual that has driven tractor trailers in the past and needs to refresh their training or renew their license. It is geared toward the trainee that does not need the full course, but can become qualified in just a number of days. Training on loaded trailers as well as doubles can be accommodated.
   
• Additional Tractor Trailer Training Driving Loaded Trailers
  With licensing, NDT Driver Training offers driver training with loaded trailers containing a weight of 30,000 pounds, giving you the experience employers require and also an edge over the competetion. This training will be done on the road, including highway, city and rural driving. After you receive your Commercial Driver's License, we offer you an hourly rate for this training.
